As sentient beings we can’t help but wonder why we are here. It must be one of our oldest thoughts. One we might have pondered once we didn’t have to think about where our next meal was going to come from.
People have been trying to convince us of their stated reason for thousands of years. Lots of them sound plausible. A lot of them have to do with religion. People will bend over backwards to get you to believe their reason. But does anyone really possess secret knowledge?
They don’t, no matter what they say. The fact is, you already possess the knowledge!
Life seems difficult. It’s a struggle. Men are cruel to one another. Disasters happen. There is death.
But there is also incredible beauty. There is love. There is birth.
How to make sense of it all? What’s my purpose in life?
You are here simply to experience the miracle of creation happening right before your very eyes!
The answer is simple. It can’t be complicated. Reason must guide your thoughts. But while the answer is simple, the implications are not. Because as physical beings, we have physical needs. And they are many. We need to work hard to provide for those needs. And we have to have the correct frame of mind. I’ll have more to say about this in another post.
